| look ontop of the gearbox and you will see there's a black plastic part on top of the shifter tower with a plug sticking out, that's the reverse switch it's quite common for them to be crappy.
Now if you take the plug off and put a piece of wire between the contacts in the loom part of the plug the reverse lights should come on (with the ignition on) then you have found the problem. Now go get a new plastic cap from stealers. or you could take your old one apart and try to clean it.
It's really easy to remove, two 10mm bolts and it's off.
If still not working check fuse.
If still not then have to check wiring. | |
