well, I though the tsunami fact was pretty funny. if you have been to any shows or looked at any pictures of shows you will see 98% of the cars will have stretched tires. The only way to get uneven wear is from fucked up wheel alignment not tires. Never heard of tires over heating except from burn outs and going way to fast for the tire. you wont get steering issues unless you for get to pump the tires up. Are your 15s wide enough to stretch tires on them? | |

| Generally not an issue with stretched tyres.
Personally I dont like them as they've not been designed to run in stretched format. As you are normally stretching lower profiles the side walls are reinforced and can take the odd loads.
@Billy, tyres can overheat if run low as it causes side wall deformation which in turn causes rubbing and wear, this is also true of over inflated tyres as they run on a small strip in the middle of the tread pattern and dont distribute the weight evenly across the tread also causing premature wear and excessive heat.
Actually you were all wrong stretched tyres are the root cause of all tyranny, Hitler originally specified them on his personal Kubelwagens which he and Eva Braun raced around the back streets of Berlin whilst everyone else was on curfew dodging the stuff my grandad chucked out of his plane on his many flying visits to the city over a five year period.

| Although i dont like them at all, The strtched tyre is safe and probably better for hammering round a track, my old man used to race and they used to put tyres on stretched to reduce tyre roll round the corners, But the extreme tyre stretch, not so sure about, Doesnt look right to me..... cheers | |
