'88 scirocco gt headlight problems

Hi,

I have recently had problems with my headlights, the sidelights work but the full beam doesn't - even though the switch is fully on (two clicks).

I would like to know if part no 321... (golf etc) will fit my scirocco, as the switch in it has part no 323... (passat/scirocco)??? The 323... switch seems to be harder to find and more expensive than the golf switch?
