| Back in a mk2 again Not much to shout about really, but it seems a half decent example, solid underneath and no rust in the usual mk2 places. It needs some work, but dont they all? Did a deal with my 7 series for it so the drive home from near Brighton earlier this week was quite a shock to system! Headed down there at 90-100 on cruise with climate control, huge leather seats and wafting along silently in comfort. Headed back home later that day bouncing along the motorway with a blowing exhaust drumming in my ears, no air con, windows that only go down 3/4 of the way and then get stuck (made paying the toll fun) but was worth it I have some plans for it, wont be a show car but will hopefully be a tidy good spec mk2 A pic of it the evening i got it home And the next morning in slighty better light, while thinking wtf have i done!!?? And some stolen pics from the origional advert | |

| Now im going to get shot down on here for saying this but.. i've raised my suspension It was stupidly low for the roads i have to go down so it had to be done! I did take a better pic showing how low it was before i did it though! The ones before it doesn't really look that low?? But anyway here it is how it was.. i can assure you its on level ground, some people may reconise the barns in the background from other pics i have posted, i work on cars here on purpose because its nice flat ground! Theres no after pic as it just looks pants it needs some bigger tyres on these wheels to be able to look half decent raised up but they can wait untill i have sorted the other niggles. Im not going for being 'hellaflush' or scene.. just want a tidy mk2 oem looking but with a few tweaks | |

It had a slight top end rattle and i have two spare KR cylinder heads so swapping one over and hopefully will be running smooth again! Also the standard down pipe was split and blowing like mad so replaced that while i had the head off as it makes it much easier, so now got a nice 4 branch manifold Should hopefully pick up my cylinder head tomorrow from cambridge rebores along with a headset so should be up running again tomorrow all being well! | |
