| Hi everyone Hee's my 1993 Passat estate, 3rd passat i've owned, getting older each time (the car, not me!) I bought her in August. It's a 2.0 8v GL with just under 71k on the clock. It's in pretty good nick considering it's age and colour, the white is still a nice white white if that makes sense. It's not perfect and has a couple of bits need sorting, but i'm hoping a service will identify my main bugbear - juddering on take off I also think the drivers side rear caliper might be sticking (that or the handbrake) due to build up of brake dust on that wheel. So here it is as i got it: and after fitting the coilovers that came with the car! I've also fitted a leather interior - heated front seats ftw! - from a VR6 It's my daily drive doing the 50 mileish round trip to P'boro each day, returning late 30s mgp which is ok, and didn't miss a beat during the really cold weather. Lets hope i haven't just cursed my luck! Hope you like and give us a wave if you see me about | |

| Hardly worth the update but had a full service Weds plus new discs and pads at the front and pads at the back. Sticking rear calipers released and given a second chance...will have to wait and see... Next up timing belt and exhaust - which i hope to find at home tonight! | |

no it werent a vacuum leak bud when i got it it did the juddering thing i changed everything thing from vacum pipes to oil breathers to everything and it still did it
what the problem was is someone had been messing with the dizzy capp to make it run right but when i looked at timimg it was out by one tooth at the top which in fact caused the juddering

| @tom - it's a twoey
@chubby - put a new rotor arm, sparks and dizzy cap in at the service and juddering noticeably less. When my exhaust arrives and i book it in to get put on i'll get them to check the rear calipers again. if they are sticking i'll chnage them.
@tom...which reminds me i said i'd have yours if i was first up, but it slipped my mind. You still got them (from the Mk3)?
