Ok guys need lil help here. the battery on my VR mk2 is poop and cant handle the clifford alarm it has, so it needs replacing. but on top of that im fitting 1 of my subs and amps ive got laying about so that will take even more juice.

Basically what im asking is, what rating battery do i need to handle that sort of output and not be dead after 2days bash

OH sweet, saves me some money i was gonne spend 150quid on 1 cheers mate. can i put them in my boot? what wire should i use to connect to the loom? ive got plenty of speaker wire, will that be ok?

speaker wire should be ok, maybe double it up to take the power. or you could wedge nails between them?

speaker wire is no good, you need to use licourice laces (the red ones) Help with battery options 51732

Ive used the red laces before, dont rate them really, seem to go abit sticky for some reason.


mark i had a though, maybe i could use your dads open crank engine to power my engine and sub? could make a nice trailer for it,

ideally you need a battery with a high cca rating look at the optima red top this is an excellent starter battery
on another note though your alarm when armed pulls a maximum of 20milli amps which is a tiny amount in the grander scheme of things
you could look at a diesel battery aswell as these have a high cca rating
