| Whats your thoughts on fake series 1 golfs?. For those who dont understand. Mk1 golf rear panel with large clusters cut off just to fit the small cluster rear panel from an earlier mk1 golf. I've always thought, why make something its not. I know series 1's are hard to come by but surely if thats the look you want, you'd search and pay the going rate for 1 right? Does welding in the seies 1 panel get you in some exclusive club or is it just to please the crowd at shows. There's also that wheel-whore saying, 'fake splits can f**k off', so does this fall in the same pot? I'am sure this will get a mixed view so i've added a poll as i know you love them lol | |

| at the end of the day we only do thing to our cars that we like, andif you like an early rear end and have the facilities, parts and know how to do it. why not. they certainlly don't get any extra brownie points in my book, but at the same time i won't snub them! | |

Totally agree but i'd walk away if i was looking to buy simply as i'd want the real McCoy if looking for an S1.

(and i'm not saying you are moaning, but for some people to dislike this is just a bit daft)

| Perhaps i am being daft, i never expected everyone to agree with me mate. I have my opinions as everyone else does hence i thought i'd see what others thought. Anything wrong in that? I appreciate the work involved in such a mod just as i do with all the air cooled cars even though i not overly keen on them(although i may own a bay at some stage) Just think its a bit OTT for small lights lol | |
