Fake series 1 golfs!

I think you should be able to do what you want, if you think a series 1 tailgate looks better then do it, sod whatever other people think. I personally cant stand scene lovies who walk around in their fake rims can f**k off t-shirts, slagging other people motors... jog on! .

Just to clear things up. I started this topic some time ago after seeing someone's build thread which involved a show condition mk1 golf. It was faultless.

He then updated with him cutting its arse off just for a said series 1 panel in which I couldn't believe my eyes to what people will do for that extra individualality!

Otherwise yeah, each to there own and all that

I agree each to there own altho I do like the series 1 I'd rather buy a genuine series 1 then modify a series 2 to get the look just my opinion
What ever anyone does to there car as long as they like it what does it matter

Personally, I would never do it but hey good luck to someone if they want it on theirs.

For me, at the end of the day, it's a MK1 Golf - The Original, The Best...

Just to put my two pennies worth in...a certain ed38 favourite mk1 that seems to be highly regarded all over is a fake series 1.


Yes big rons is an 83 series two.
